Two novel efficient blue TADF emitters, Ac-OPO and Ac-OSO, have been developed. Maximumηext values of 12.3% and 20.5% were achieved in blue TADF-OLEDs by employing Ac-OPO and Ac-OSO as TADF emitters, respectively. Moreover, the Ac-OSO-based blue-emitting device exhibits a very weak efficiency roll-off with ηext over 13% even at a luminance of 1000 cd m−2.

A radiative exciton ratio of nearly 100% can be achieved for blue TADF-OLEDs as a result of highly efficient RISC, which far exceeds the limit of 25% for conventional blue fluorescent OLEDs.
