A new family of deep-blue TADF emitters based on a donor–acceptor
architecture has been developed. The electronic interaction between donor and acceptor plays a key role in the TADF mechanism. TADF OLEDs based on Cz-TRZ3 and Cz-TRZ4 exhibited high maximum EQEs of 19.2 and 18.3% and CIE coordinates of (0.148, 0.098) and (0.150, 0.097), respectively.
